...and this should tell you enough (and maybe more than you would care to have known; you are welcome) about this topic. Antiquity (especially the ancient Greek and Roman cultures) is of high interest to me, but contrasting to that, also WWI, the German "Weimar" Republic and the rise of fascism - out of a desire to understand, but also to prevent (which, eerily enough, feels quite familiar to current political developments not only in Europe).
